My service writer Tim L. said I had a leaking steering gear and it would be roughly $1500 to replace it. I'm a little dismayed because my garage floor is spot free and my steering seems fine. Other than this everything else was fine and they honored my service coupons. I've always had good service at Lavery's. I drive past another Chevrolet dealer 1/2 hour to go to them.
I like how the salesman didn’t try to up-sell me, moreover some of the service reps are really aggressive about that sort of thing & it makes me feel uncomfortable. A basic internet search reveals that you don’t really need most of the “Dealer recommended” services. The only thing I would complain about is that the service rep didn’t go over what GM-Recommended services were required at the time. I haven’t been keeping track of them because the dealership does typically.
We would certainly like to complement Lavery GMC and our salesman DJ for our recent Yukon purchase. DJ was outstanding! We drove here from out of state and definitely would return for a future purchase. Thanks DJ!!!
